$20M GTD partypoker MILLIONS Online returns as part of a partypoker online festival from December 1-10, 2019. Site’s annual flagship online event retains $20M guarantee, while buy-in is increased to $10,300. partypoker has announced the dates for its 2019 edition of MILLIONS Online.
Scheduled to take place from Sunday, December 1, to Tuesday, December 10, this year’s tournament will again carry a $20,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. In a change from 2018 however, the tournament will feature as part of a wider tournament series supported by a host of side events.
In line with all 2019 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Main Events, the 2019 installment also sees the buy-in increased to $10,300 – making it the largest ever online $10K+ buy-in event.
Once again, a dedicated satellite program will offer players of all levels the chance to participate for a fraction of the price. Get a free satellite entry here.
Last year’s MILLIONS Online made history as the single largest online poker tournament ever held, paying out a total $21,835,000 in prize money as it exceeded all expectations in smashing the $20,000,000 guarantee. The event was eventually won by Manuel ‘Sheparentao’ Ruivo for $2,329,943.88, one of four millionaires made, with Pim ‘ForMatherRussia’ de Goede claiming second place worth $2,309,994 following a heads-up deal.
Team partypoker’s Fedor Holz said: “I'm excited that partypoker are bringing back MILLIONS Online this year and the best news is they have added even more events to the schedule. “Last year I outlasted my partypoker teammates but this year I'll be looking to go one better and take down the trophy!”
partypoker managing director, Tom Waters, said: “Following the success of last year’s MILLIONS Online we’ve decided to keep the $20M guarantee, however we wanted to bring the full MILLIONS live experience online and offer a host of side events alongside the Main Event, providing players with an exciting new online festival under the prestigious MILLIONS brand. “Regular satellites supported by a suite of promotions will also ensure we give as many players the chance to get involved as possible.”
