With partypoker running daily online satellites from as little as $2.20, there are scores of $1,500 packages up for grabs and the first 50 players to qualify online will be entered into an exclusive Last Longer promotion in Sao Paulo. The winning player will receive a $10,000 prize package for the $10 million guaranteed Caribbean Poker Party in Punta Cana in November.
partypoker is running a three phase qualifier program for WSOP Brazil with daily Quarter and Semi Finals phases, and a weekly Final every Sunday with ten $1,500 WSOP Brazil seats guaranteed. The $1,500 prize package comprises the $1,100 buy in for WSOP Brazil plus $400 spending money. There are already many players through to the final qualification phase – with hundreds more vying for a chance to attend the eagerly-awaited Brazil event. Last year’s inaugural WSOP Brazil event attracted more than 12,000 players across the eight-day festival.
A second promotion running at WSOP Brazil will see one lucky player winning a place at Brazil’s Massari Poker School. Brazil #1 Joao Simao and online pro Renato Nomura are both instructors at the school which uses partypoker software to help train keen poker players throughout Brazil.
WSOP Brazil is partypoker’s first live venture in the LATAM region and also marks its first ever partnership with the World Series of Poker. The event, which takes place 27th September to 4th October in the spectacular Bienal pavilion in Ibirapuera Park, has an exciting schedule featuring more than 40 different tournaments. As well as the $1,000,000 guarantee Main Event, the schedule includes an R$15,000 Super High Roller (with R$500k guarantee) and the R$8,000 “Big Diamond”. In addition to their cash prize and coveted WSOP trophy, the winner of the Main Event will also secure a seat in next year’s WSOP Global Casino Championship.
Simao, 28, who has won more than $5.7 million online, will be joined in Sao Paulo by fellow Ambassadors Sam Trickett and actor Bruno Gagliasso. Trickett, 31, is the UK’s #1 live tournament player and one of the most popular players in the world with cumulative live tournament winnings of over $20 million. Gagliasso, 35, who joined partypoker in May, is a major TV, film and theatre star in Brazil. He has been playing poker recreationally for years and is now a regular in partypoker’s weekly Title Fight.
Simao said: “The Last Longer for WSOP Brazil is a really great promotion for our online qualifiers. It will add a lot of excitement for the 50 players who are first to qualify – and offers an amazing prize. Who doesn’t want to compete in the Caribbean!? I look forward to welcoming all our players at WSOP Brazil; it’s an incredible event – one of the biggest poker festivals in the world – and I know we’re all going to have a great time!”
Gagliasso added: “The countdown is now on for one of the most exciting poker tournaments of the year! Nothing compares to playing live events in Brazil; the atmosphere is always fantastic and I look forward to testing my skills in such an enormous field. I am proud to be part of the partypoker team and am really looking forward to meeting lots of partypoker players in Sao Paulo.”
